Cry for Douma
A Cry for Douma
Embarrassed by today’s barbarism,
We stand together in grievance, sorrow and anger,
Justice must reign for the victims,
Let this not be an unchecked cancer,
Every attack burns a hole of sorrow through the heart,
The clouds of gas, envelops the innocent with death,
Every ingested chemical ignites agonizing pain,
No one should have to witness a child’s last breath,
If we just bring out our decency, we can roar,
If we stand together, we can, hand in hand,
Remedy the hearts of those hurt to the very core,
Liberty, peace and humanity can be restored.
