The Girl in a Pearl Earring

The weight of the earring on her ear.
The look of the eyes pulling me in.
The slight part of the lips,glossy and pigmented.
She whispers in my ear.
Tells me lies to draw me in.
She wants to escape.
She wants me to take her place.
For me to sit watching people walking by.
With the weight of the pearl earring pulling on my ear.
