I did my time
The smell of sickness is overwhelming,
my senses scream RUN.
I’m stuck,
there is no place to hide.
The machines are constantly beeping,
and no music can blur the sounds.
I pray for my release,
but it has only been twelve hours.
The delicious smell of pizza drifts into my room,
I am finally able to eat.
The day comes,
I am going home.
