Building of Happiness
Happiness is like a tower
Tall and strong
But it can be broken down in an instant
The wrecking ball of grief
Can be operated by loss, physical or emotional pain, betrayal or lies
The debris of what once was happiness
Is now the rubble of despair
But we should take heart
The rubble can find repair
Someone may come to pick up the pieces and put it back together
A lover, a friend, or maybe even a stranger
One who you did not expect
Who can finally rebuild the tower of happiness
