Ghosts of the Past

The ghosts of the past still linger
Of when we were best friends
When we used to smile
Laugh
And be friends
You were there
When I needed you most
But now
I just try
To save the good memories
But they are so hard
To pull through
Just like we couldn’t
Pull through our friendship
And that is why
My memories of us
Are just ghosts of the past
And nothing more than that.
