Side by side
When we walked side by side
Between us the smell of fresh coffee lingered in the air.
A mug always found nestled between your palms.
It’s warmth radiating.
It’s scent wrapping around us and
its subtle freshness took hostage in our noses.
The scent forever stains my skin, as it did yours.
