The Amber Fire
I wake up in front of an amber fire
I can see the soft glow through the slits I can see through
Everything else is dark
In the distance I hear giant quaking footsteps
Fear flows throughout my body
Following the footsteps a building falls
I sprint from the sound
The steps get louder
The ground below shakes
As I fall I see It standing behind me
It’s wearing rusted steel armor
A giant axe swings over its head
I close my eyes, waiting for the end
When I reopen my eyes,
I’m once again in front of the amber fire
This time I don’t hesitate,
I just run from the footsteps
And never look back
