The Blue Jay

Each morning begins the same,
a warm bath before the day of work.
With long days ahead,
she has a need to feel refreshed.
She hums a simple song in the morning sun.
Starting each day with new expectations.
Shampooing and conditioning
to leave each feather soft.
Finishing with the body wash
to leave each feather clean.
She still thinks of ways to accomplish every hope and dream.
