"Worrying means you suffer twice" - Newt Scamander

Life is like a coffee shop
People coming
People going
Some seeking refuge within its walls
Others seeking freedom outside the door

My life is like the little coffee shop
Beside the new Tim Horton’s
Built years after I me
Some find comfort
In my tiny space
Most find comfort
In the drive-thru
Only the most faithful love me still

Life is like a library
So many books
So little time
We thumb through the stories
Of many a person
Without taking the chance
To actually read

My life is the public library
In the smallest town
On the smallest island
In the world
Rarely are there strangers
In my little library
When they appear
I rejoice
When they leave
Never do they come again

Life is like a river
Calm and narrow
Strong and raging
Lazily pulling people along
Fiercely dragging unfortunate souls
Pushing us into the current
And dropping us over the waterfall

My life is a trickle
The smallest of streams
Barely an influence
To those around me
Hardly a saviour to one in need
Creating naught but a ripple
For those who cross me

My life is a coffee shop
My life is a library
My life is a river
Not terribly important
Unless a cup of strong coffee
In a little coffee shop
A good long book
In a library nook
And a cold glass of water
From the smallest of streams
Are all that you need
To live happily
