I'm Sorry
I’m sorry that I’m stupid
I’m sorry that I’m dumb
I’m sorry I screw up
I’m sorry all the time
I’m sorry that I’m clumsy
I’m sorry I’m not good enough
I’m sorry I’m not cool
I’m sorry I don’t know
Just where I fit in
I’m sorry that all I can see
Is the good in people
And not the bad
I’m sorry I’m not the best
I’m sorry I don’t try
I’m sorry for the lies I tell
I’m sorry that I tried
I’m sorry that I laugh
I’m sorry that I cry
I'm sorry that I'm human too
I'm sorry I’m too nice
I’m sorry that I don’t meet your standards
I’m sorry that I tried to make you happy
But all I made you do was cry
I’m sorry I’m not pretty enough
I’m sorry for the pain I cause
I’m sorry that I’m not as perfect as you
I’m sorry that I’m not as pretty as you
I’m sorry that you judge me
For just the way I am
I’m sorry I don’t have the right brand
I’m sorry I’m not the same
I’m sorry that I always do the wrong thing
I’m sorry I’m a failure
And that I’m not good enough for you
I’m sorry that you’re too judgmental
I’m sorry you can’t see
That I’m just being me
I can’t pretend
To be you
Because I’m different too
But different isn’t a bad thing
It’s just you being you
So now I’m not sorry
For any of these things
The only thing I’m sorry for
Is that you missed out on a friend
Because you judged them for their mistakes

I wrote this shortly after I realized how much I say sorry in one day.
