Soft and silent
Calm and cozy
Born in a bunch
Under her mother
Waiting for milk
Time goes by
Growing like a weed
Lying in my arms
Yawning at night
Morning comes around
Always by the door
Dreaming about catching squirrels
Saliva dripping out of her mouth
Time to go out
Taking off after the first scent of fresh air
Tearing up the grass
Growing and getting older
The puppy that I used to know is gone
No more biting
No more accidents
Crying when I leave
The garage door shuts
Then nothing
