Ropes

Why? Why do i follow you? I know you are only leading me down an empty pathway.Time after time again, I become lost in us. I am no longer walking on my own. The ropes that tie us together are pulling my lifeless body behind you like i'm a dog. The ties that bond us together are unbreakable. I've tried to break free, but i cannot. I run and i run but go no where. The ropes hold me in place, forbidding me to run away. I will never be free. I am attached to you. Hurt and afraid. I will never get away. I follow you.
