Unexpected
A walk along the river is what I see inside my dream
While examining my surroundings, I dip my toes into the stream
The sensation pulses through me, choosing its desired course
It goes where it wishes, and is spewing at the source
I look around me to the forest, to the fruit and to the vines
Though who can help but wonder if there’s magic deep inside
I leave the river behind me and I face the trees' allure
With heavy hesitation, I go on yet still unsure
As I enter the unknown, I see results I'd not suspected
Undoubtedly the opposite of what I had expected
There she lies, cold and limp, with eyes open wide with fear
The feeling starts to prosper that something terrible is near
