The Memories
The memories changing
In accordance with the beat
Reminding me of a happier time
When life was slow
Melodious
And brought a smile to my face
The memories playing
All of the same tempo and rhythm
Reminding me of a livelier time
When life was upbeat
Fast
And brought a smile to my face
The memories containing
Ordinary words but deeper meanings
Reminding me of more beautiful times
When life was mundane
But it was up to me to find the beauty
In each word and in each second
The memories ending
With the last note
A smile on my face
My problems forgotten
They tell me not to live in the past
But the past is the reason why we’re in the present

There's always a song that reminds you of a certain memory in your life. Likewise, I wrote this when I listened to my song.
