The Darkness
When I finally reach the edge of this cliff, I'm gonna try to fly and wherever it takes me is where I'm supposed to be.
All I know is this life thing really isn't for me
I try to calm my mind by imagining I'm floating peacefully at night in the sea
Surrounded my memories of the people who say they love me
but now I'm drowning there too
So, what is a waste of life supposed to do?
I can't stop thinking about how much more beautiful the color red is, how else do I stop this?
I could grow cold and turn off all of the emotions I keep building inside
Or I could just die
As the person I'm supposed to be
and get to heaven and finally be free
Getting squished by boulders
This weight on my shoulders
is getting to heavy
and I think I'm almost ready..
For you, Mr Death
your darkness
is where I'll be able to finally rest
The darkness
Is all I have left
Of my true self
I carry you with me always
In my heart, my mind, on my bookshelf
Youre the closest thing to home I've ever felt
