Fear Itself MAG
Great black wings.
Small beady eyes.
A raucous crowing.
All the components of a raven.
An omen of death.
Devourer of the dead.
But still, it watches.
Tilting its head,
ruffling its feathers,
it watches.
Waiting for me to make
the first move.
I stand still
and watch it,
body ready to run,
for this bird is not
ordinary.
This bird is fear,
all of my fears,
locked into one bird.
So I stand still.
But my fears are all
small
compared to this.
No,
all we have to fear,
is fear itself.
