The Man Who Created Man
To fly away
To heaven someday
Is what I dream of at night.
To slip away
For just one day
To a place that doesn’t
Hurt.
Fight.
To meet the man
Who created man
Who isn’t a man at all.
God,
I wish I could know you exist
Someday before I fall.
God,
I know that I know you exist.
Have I begun to fall?

I feel like everyone at some point in their lives struggles with religious/spiritual identity, and that this is something many(not all) people will be able to relate to. Doubt and hope are so different yet they are what we are made of. That is kind of what this poem is about. There is so much more to it than you can see, though.
