She searches her phone
For messages long since deleated
Trying to figure out what went wrong
Searching for the promises uncompleted
She stays awake every night
Thinking of the love she lost
She wishes upon the moon and stars
Hoping for a future with a love that lasts
Her mind wanders constantly
She wants an epic love story
She daydreams of a relationship
One as strong as a giant oak tree
But the messages are long gone
The promises long since forgotten
The wishes and dreams unfulfilled
Her heart is now rotten
