i love you
your rough lines of pencil
to my pale strokes of watercolor
the fading gold of your sunrise
to the deep blue of my sea
walking along this long open road
wondering
where it may lead
we step perfectly in sync
to the rhythm of the moon
and its tides
and each other
circling this tiny sphere
of earth and water
hurtling through the vastness
of space - time - sonder
we live hand in hand,
lips on lips,
heart to heart
our individual heartstrings
hopelessly intertwined
my twenty-four seven
my forever and always
a human being
so wondrously perfect
yet b e a u t i f u l l y flawed
that the supernovae in my heart
shine brighter than the galaxies
in your eyes

I wanted to capture the emotions behind the words, "I love you," without actually using those three words, while avoiding romantic cliches like roses and heart-shaped boxes of chocolates and candlelit dinner dates; this is the result :)
