The time has come, we’re finally here  
I’ve awaited this moment the entire year
Peering out the window, my thoughts disappear

My favorite place in the world, the beach
The car comes to a stop with a loud screech
When we pull up, the ocean’s in reach

I open the door and inhale the sea breeze
Suddenly I am filled with a great ease
Perfect white sand and beautiful palm trees

The ocean water looked so blue
At that moment, I knew
That the stresses of school were finally through

At last, vacation time had begun
I relaxed all day under the sun
