Cruel
Glass eyes cold and hard,
Plunged deep into my soul,
Drinking up whatever she desired,
Forcing me to feel
Enduring every ounce of her crippling venom,
Rushing into my veins.
Now I have nothing left,
She has devoured every last morsel of my vigor,
It becomes nothing but a rodent,
Swallowed whole and slowly breaking down into nothing,
But a small protrusion, swelling under her glimmering scales.
She’s known to be a charmer,
Deadly and tempting and alluring,
Slithering into the sheets of the weak-hearted,
Then constricting tighter and tighter around their necks
Taking the air and the life from their frail bodies,
Then returning to her life of sheer bliss and opulence to bask in the golden sun.
She lies to grasp for some hold of acceptance,
Because she cherishes how it feels on her tongue,
Her flickering tongue, lashing out with more and more deception,
Hoping, praying, to intertwine with someone, anyone,
Hissing, spitting, thrashing out desperately,
But no one will ever worship her wretched, coiled body
As much as she craves.
