Learning To Dive
I started putting the equipment together
As I struggle my grandpa walks over and says
“First put the vest over the tank of oxygen,
then make sure the tank is facing the right direction,
next make sure the regulator is the direction in which you can use it,
screw the regulator into place,
turn on the oxygen tank and,
finally strap the tank to the buoyancy control device and your good to go
I felt powerful no one could boss me around under water
But I forgot one of the most important rules; you always dive with a buddy,
My buddy was none other than, my sister
I stood at the edge of the pool
held the back of my buoyancy control device
and fell backwards with my mask on
finally I gave the ok signal
I will never ever forget how amazing it felt to
Understand why my family loves to dive
Its because it’s a sport the whole family can participate in
And I always want to be a part of that
