The One That Got Away
The first day we met was 7th grade in chorus class.
I was friends with most of the guys and so I decided that I needed some friends that were girls. We have become super close these past few years, but you like him and he likes you.
We broke up and you went right after him like a puppy dog.
After we broke up.
It was hard.
You helped him, not me.
I needed you.
You were the only friend I had.
I felt loneliness for the first time.
It was all because of you.
At first I didn’t realize what you had done to me.
My mom soon helped me figure it out.
If it weren’t for her, we would still be so close and I would be breaking.
I have so much joy in me and you took it away.
