Still Waters Run Deep
Still waters run deep,
And your words -
They are stones that sink
Beneath my surface.
They plunge through my fathoms,
Hitting the rocky surface below.
These stones,
They build underwater castles inside me,
One piling on top of the other.
They create their own bridges,
Understanding further than you know.
But each stone makes no ripple.
They careen through my facade without a mark,
As though the stone was never there.
But the piles at the bottom of my pool show otherwise.
But my waters are too murky for you to see.
