The sweet juice
dropped down my chin.
Laughter filled the air.
We sat at picnic tables
and laughed out troubles away.
We spat out cherry pits
and black watermelon seeds.
Ice cream covered faces
turned towards the sky
welcoming the rainy end
to their picnic day.
