Oblivion
When you run into darkness
Do you feel the weight of the world
Or does it lift from your shoulders
Like doubt after relief
Will you be free from your sins
Can you forget where you've been
By going where you haven't
By believing in the unknown
When you escape to oblivion
Will you feel free from the world
Or will you be searching
For the place you've always known
Does the darkness bring you home
Will it leave you hopeless and wondering
Or will you rely on its unknown path
Because you won't know who to love until you're lost

When I wrote this piece I intended on Oblivion meaning the crazy unknown darkness you fall into when you don't know who to trust or who to let in, and you won't know who is meant for you until you are completely lost in its abyss...you won't know who to love until you're lost (inspired by the song 5AM, Amber Run).
