Peanut Butter Theives
Peanut Butter is as free
As eagles in the sky.
Nothing telling it what to be.
And nothing asking why.
Peanut Butter is not told
Exactly what to think or say
Peanut butter has no rules
On any single day.
Peanut Butter always leaves
A good taste in your mouth
Unlike the thieves, Who steal my dreams
And cause a heavy drouth
Thieves of daylight, blinding you
with their words of sight.
Telling you your dreams don’t matter
Telling you they’re right.
Thieves who take your hopes, and crush them
in their heavy palms.
Crushing harder than before
Until they feel like bombs.
Thieves who take my peanut butter
Leave without a sound
They don’t tell me and hope I don’t see
That I’m surely bound.
Peanut Butter reminds me
Of a child without thieves.
With no insults or limitations,
None that it perceives.
Society is a thief to me
Who steals my peanut butter
And takes my hopes and dreams from me
And shoves me down the gutter.

Peanut Butter Theives is based on the fact that society does not really let us be unique and it tries to make us like each other, even when jobs now require unique people to get them done.
