Diamond In The Rough
I wander down the broken path
Where trees grow and wither
Most of them are withered now
But we are all deservers
Flames dance along the trees
Burning them down without a trace
Whispering in the breeze
Of what once stood in their place
We all try the best we can
And still we’ve fallen short
Down the broken path we’ve ran
Yet we know nothing of the sort
The sun sets as the moon rises
To end another day
And the moon sets as the sun rises
To fade the night away
We all live each day and night
Living in sadness and in fright
But even when the going gets hard
And the times get tough
I always seem to find
My diamond in the rough
