Pick, Eat, Pick, Eat
The sun, high above, smiles at me.
The green and speckled-red fields sway in the breeze,
my eyes shimmer with joy at the sight unraveling before me.
I grab my basket and venture onto the red tractor.
Bumpy green and brown ride,
alas, I’m at the fields.
One for the basket, one for the mouth, one for the basket…
gooey, sticky redness covers my hands.
Is it already time to go?
The green and red speckled fields wave goodbye,
I smile back, eyes fixed on the moving fields.
Slowly, the fields vanish.
