it's all survivable

i looked up at the pastor as he said it
“some people are here tonight and they’re sad, lost”
that’s not me, i thought
for once
that’s someone else
so in that moment I realized
that in some way
by some God given miracle
i am happy
i know where i am
i know who i am
i’ve been
low
dark
lost
but now i know
i know how the pain consumes you
and i know that it’s survivable
