She asked for a reflection to make her heart whole,
so I gave her a mirror to tell her what she wanted to know.

She asked for a place for her inner to hide,
so I gave her a cloak of red for her soul to die.

She asked for a chance to have more,
so I gave her golden slippers to adore.

She asked for a place safe to sleep,
so I gave her a tower for her dreams to keep.

However in the end when a wish becomes true,
the mirror can come back for you.

The mirror that shatters ones soul...
The cloak that barriers one whole...
The slippers that turn your heart to stone...
And the tower a cellar for a dead soul.

This is fantastic, I love how you used fairytale references to tell a different story.

I really like this poem, it has a cool kind of dark element... Keep up the great work!
