I Am A Child
I dream pink crystals
And I would love to wake up to them
I would trade my piggy bank for candies
I wonder why the sky is blue and why don’t we fly
If I had the power, I would make the sky green and
Paint the trees pink.
I feel the rain touch my fingertips and say hello.
And I love to stamp my feet in the puddle
I stand next to people to check who’s taller
My grocery always has the strawberry lollies.
I lick until my tongue turns pink
Then I stick my tongue out and widen my eyes
Every time I pass by the mirror,
I twist my tongue and squint my eyes
People say it has changed and so should I
I check what has?
Just few lines on my face
People tell me they are wrinkles
And that I’m old now
I want to grow up but
I don’t like these lines upon my face
I think the glass cleaner would work
