I thought it was a rather unfortunate fate
That one with eyes like yours would leave me earlier than late.
They were blue as celeste, and as they looked into mine,
Topaz and lazuli would kiss and redefine.

Embers danced when I saw you and fires lit in my heart
And I saw the willow trees in eyes two apart.
I sang with the sahara and pranced through flaxen grass,
You kicked up cerulean water, and let our gazes last.

When I cried and you saw, the colors became a haze
Of golden and azuline, a viridian maze.
My glass orbs melted into a melichrous sea,
And barely brushed your silver as I let my colors bleed.

And I’ve grown since then, my bright stones have turned dull,
But your beautiful blues are the summer sky when it’s full.
As I meet your eyes for the first and last time,
I desperately hope that I can keep them with mine.

I can't help but fall in love with peoples' eyes. There's a story behind every one.

Shorter than what I normally write, but i hope you enjoy.
