Baseball is your lifetime.

Your life is finite, and so is Baseball
Nine innings, but when the game starts
It feels like the game never ends
And now, you will hope
To contribute to
The game of life
You rush to first base
Hoping not to get out
Here, you are walking through
Your teenage years in school
Then, you reach adulthood
As you make your way
To second base
Studying in college
Working hard for your degrees
You start a family
Buy a home, security, insurance
As you run to base three
Here, you already have thought about
The rest of your lifetime
And now know what you really want
That is to
head home,
Retire,
Receive praises from
your family
your friends and fans
Who have acknowledge your
Contributions to the game

And now, this was our final chance
The fate of our team
Was in my hands

I was up for batting.
We had three people on base
If I hit a single,
I will score the winning point
If I miss however
It is all over
The game will end
We will lose the championship
Five years in a row
And my life will be as good as over
    Huff
    Puff
    Huff
    Puff
Breathing heavily
I stepped up to the batter's box
I sweated as much to fill
To aquariums
I stand, thinking to myself
This is it,
    win or lose,
        do or die….

The pitcher pitched the ball
Vroom!
It when straight down
towards ground.
The baseball bounced back
towards the empire
It hit him in the face
He cried in agony
He cried as loud
As a lions roar
The medics came in
As fast as cheetahs
They carried him out
The substitute Empire
Came in, but this time
Was wearing walmart’s t shirts
And without a doubt
Protection gear.

My legs were shaking
My heart thumping
Dub Dub
Dub Dub
The pitchers hammers another one
This time, I swung,
but the ball flew
right passed me
It seemed to have said
Haha fool, you will never
Ever be able to touch me
I was angry after that
I could have given up
And released my anger
In a form of a roar
As loud as a lion’s
But I remember my training
I breathed in and out
My mind then
Was as clear as
A diamond
I focused at the pitcher
The whole stadium became quiet
As a mouse
For the last pitch of the game

The Pitcher pitched
I hammered the ball
It flew as fast as lightning
Out of the stadium
The crowd roared
Like a lion defending
It is harvest of the day
The commenter shouted
HOMERRRRUN!
We have won
It is time to run Home
Enjoy the rest of my life
As I have contributed
To my team’s victory.
