Simply Intricate
Such sophisticated poetry must be eloquently maneuvered;
Never without melody, and always without flaw.
It’s imperative that it evoke emotion,
Remarkably so that it is expected to transcend all other endeavors.
The psyche will be inundated with sensational fervor,
Excruciating pain will voyage across the body like the strings on a marionette,
And idyllic remnants of forgotten dreams will sow the seeds of pure felicity.
Contrary to what these deceptive words may so persuasively convey,
There is an underlying falsehood, sheathed between pretty lies and ornate decorations;
An illusion meant to dissemble the veracity of these words that bind and suffocate us.
Hollow shells and empty carcasses are all that remain beneath the painted deception.
Do not be swindled by the articulation and grandiloquence, nor the fluency of jargon.
Even now, at this very juncture, have you the valor and aphorism to defy, to dispute, to resist
The urge of capitulation or submission?
Dare I ask if you have enough competence, the right skills, the sheer knowledge?
This is a poem of intricacy.
A poem of complex ideas and insurmountable potential.
Do you possess this same overwhelming capacity?
This same genius adept at all eventualities?
Do you know the heart of the matter?
