AS THE NIGHT FALLS
as the night falls
as the night falls the darkness awakens
the small shadows welcome me to the dark
the sun can no longer sing the songs of morning
as the night overpowers the air
I can’t say there is hope of getting out
but I can only trust what the night falls
into the dark never shall there be light again
the wind is like a song replaying and never stopping only ending
winding, whirling, and whipping, the dark overpowers all
