Your grandma is talking about the day she died
while you’re thinking about how the average
person wastes two weeks of their life waiting
for the light to change from red to green
Your enemy is killing the monster under your bed
but instead of thanking him you are thinking about how “almost” is the longest word in
the English language with all its letters
in alphabetical order
Your sister is trying to sneeze with her eyes open, which you know is impossible
And you are trying to write a poem,
which you know is impossible too

Wow. I had no idea that a person spends two weeks of their life waiting for stoplights. Nice poem!
