I Love You
I love you.
I haven't said it to many.
But to the people I have, I meant it.
I still do.
And I always will.
We don't talk anymore, we don't know each other,
But we used to.
We used to tell each other everything,
And I still remember.
I remember that you like extra cream and roasted peanuts.
I remember that your uncle has cancer, that you hate the color green.
But we don't talk anymore.
Yet, if you needed me, I would be there.
Because I loved you.
Love doesn't expire, it doesn't just go away.
And if it does, then that wasn't love at all.
I love you.
They said.
But they didn't.
They never did and they never will.
They left.
You don't leave the people you love,
Better yet, you don't love the people you leave.
I love you.
I will never leave you.
They're not just words.
They mean something.
