All I'm hearing are words,
They go in one ear and out the other.
I try to listen,
But I end up ignoring.
How am I expected to do this?
I understand,
But I don't.
My mind gets it,
But my heart doesn't.
Day after day,
Hour after hour,
Minute after minute,
Second after second.
Time always seems so long,
Like a never ending road.
But that road does have an end,
An end that I will create.
