Death
Death is just around the corner
Whether it comes for us when
We’re old and ready
Or when we think
We have many more years
to live our lives
Death is always near
Eternal and endless
Everlasting death
Waiting to claim its next victim
Whether it be someone worlds away
Or in your own backyard
A vulture circling its dying prey
Hanging above our heads
Death is always lurking
Hunting us through our lives
And we just have to hope
We can outrun it one day more
