I scratch at my skin.
I peel it away,
Layer by layer
Like I’m peeling an orange
Until there’s streams of blood.
I peel
And peel
To discover what’s inside.
Is it a scared little girl?
Or is it a monster,
Who was waiting
And waiting
For the last layer to be peeled,
So he could come crawling out?

I have major depression, OCD, ADD, ADHD, and some anxiety disorders. I use to self-harm. I'm now on medication and have therapists.
