Strong words
For a terrible event

Never again,
Will we let children die
Parents watching hopelessly

And let things get out of control

Will humans exterminate
Men, women, and children

Will we discriminate,
People based on religious values

Never again,
Will we let humans
Mark other humans like animals

Never again,
Will we dehumanize
And deprive other people

Never again?
We say it so surely
Like it is a fact

We say, so softly
While ISIS discriminates

Never again?
While they kidnap
And kill

Never again?
While they bomb
And shoot

Never again?
While we wait on the side
Watching innocent lives fade

Never again?
While they mark
Other humans like animals

Never again?
While we watch on computers and phones
As yet another life is lost

Then what are we doing?
To stop this horrible act
