Choose Love
Hate was once a full place in my heart,
my reflection,
my flaws,
the ones who've wronged me.
the ones who got away,
the things I never got to say.
Wondering how my heart could pound with pleasure
against the force of pain?
Love was the sun
and every day was filled with rain
but I made a change
I rearranged,
did whatever it took to feel sane.
Now here I am standing strong
bulletproof and staring at the sun.
Love blooms
bursts
beams
I have found it
I have made a choice within me.
With the sun in my eyes,
it is still clear like the sky
the clearest blue.
I choose love.
