Mountains and Sunrises
The overwhelming mountains in the past have faded away
They are far off in the distance
In the dust behind your car
Now we're headed towards the rising sun
A beautiful redemption
That faces us everyday
The mountains get larger and larger as we approach them
But as we pass they fade away to faint gray memories
We eventually forget we ever climbed them
We forget the feelings at the beginning of the task
The fear, the feeling it will never pass
Every time we adventure over a mountain, new memories are made
And every time we have made it over
Now it's in the distant past, somewhere behind the horizon
And we continue to move on to more colorful sunrises
