Favorite Quote:
"Soon madness has worn you down. It’s easier to do what it says than argue. In this way, it takes over your mind. You no longer know where it ends and you begin. You believe anything it says. You do what it tells you, no matter how extreme or absurd. If it says you’re worthless, you agree. You plead for it to stop. You promise to behave. You are on your knees before it, and it laughs."
— Marya Hornbacher

I have always been afraid of being too much, of leaving too strong a mark. all my life I have tiptoed soundlessly across linoleum tiles and stood at the edge of the crowd talking at barely above a whisper. I have written poems filled with secret thoughts, the tip of the pencil hovering above the paper, then taken an eraser to it all. I have dug a six foot hole and buried my thoughts and emotions before trying to put myself down there with them. I have lived my life afraid of being something and feeling nothing.
