She Is Worth More
She said she would kiss me for free
When we could have done it for $5,000
$5,000 would buy us endless sub shop dates and 168 coffees
She is not a part of my life for the materialistic things...
That is... That is what seperates her from most
She has watched me break myself down to the core
She has watched me try to reassemble myself while failing
Not only did she her eyes lock with mine; they saw with mine
They broke with mine
They failed to reassemble with mine
They locked shut with mine
Would no other human even bother to throw me genuine sympathy
So she went beyond that
Here I lay, half-assembled in my own home
She is only a message away... a ten minute drive away... a fragile thought away
We are not romantic; but let the rumors roll off strangers tongues
She knows she is worth more to me than any amount of money... or sub shop date... or 168 coffees
She is worth so much more
