Timeless and One
Somewhere between that sweet coffee shop and your house,
in the middle of the green forest and the glistening lake,
next to broken wooden bench where you first met that one person,
and a little to the right of the roof where you found yourself in the stars.
A million miles away, and yet here, and on the moon,
somewhere between the bright morning sun and you.
scurrying between the complexion of your face and
twinkling like a drop of water on your eyelashes.
Is the now. Eternal and omnipresent.
And sometime between that long night and exciting morning,
sometime in the middle of your earned graduation and setbacks,
soon after that bad break up
and a little before something new.
After many centuries and yet just moments away,
faded in your distant memories and fears that are oh so close.
Sometime between that one time you wished had never happened
and that moment that cultivates every day.
Is right here. No other place than here and yet something special.
And maybe if we look a little to left,
a little below the bumps and a bit above the troubles,
we find present moment, both here and now.
It’s not over there, since that wouldn’t be here,
and it’s not tomorrow, because that wouldn’t be today.
Maybe it was today yesterday,
and it was here back there,
but right now the present moment is right where I am,
timeless and one.
