Through the Dark Days
I love you--the day you stopped smiling was the day I started screaming.
Love, sacrifice of self.
Love is more a scream than a whisper, more a smile than a deceptive magnetic attraction.
You crept up into my life like vines on a wall, and you were always there when I never needed you. Strangely, I always had this instinctive feeling that we were somehow connected, that each of our existences depended upon the other.
I came to know your existence, and it was bliss. All I remember is a constant chain of euphoria, because even through The Dark Days (as I have come to refer to those days which haunt my nightmares), you became the embodiment of hope and gave me strength for my battle.
But now I have to argue worsening ravage, in which the vitality is gone.
