We never really saw eye to eye,you and I
So I erected a wall to cement the divide
YOUR SIDE was machine guns and carcinogenic foods and broken glass
MINE
was rainbows and sunshine and laughter
Or;maybe it was the other way around,
i don’t know,
(it was a dark time for both of us)
And even though there were loose bricks everywhere
i could never bring myself to pull one out,
send the whole structure crashing,
stand in the rubble,
and tell you i missed you.
