Final Note
She used to smile everyday, but now her feelings get in the way
Or perhaps it was really the lack of feeling anything at all
Because the only thing worse than feeling pain, is feeling nothing
And the memories haunt her just like the pictures on her wall
Friends that left without a second thought, more than she can recall
Will someone catch her when she falls?
And she wants to be remembered but not to take any risks
But avoiding risk is avoiding purpose like an unanswered phone call
She finally took a risk, wanting to quit this internal brawl
She would no longer have the weight on her shoulders like a bowling ball
She did not leave a thing behind except her old rag doll
and a final note in the entrance hall.
